How to play

1. Form a wide circle. Players may make open arches with their arms without pulling on one another.
2. Choose a Cat and a Mouse. The Mouse walks briskly through the arches and the Cat follows the same route.
3. The Cat aims to tag the Mouse gently on the shoulder. Keep every arch open while someone passes through.
4. After a catch, choose a new pair. Set a short time limit so everyone has a turn.

Host’s tip

Play at walking pace indoors. A seated alternative is to pass two different soft toys around the circle and see whether the Cat catches the Mouse.

Agree on the rules before you start. Guests can join, adapt a movement or pass; use points or optional playful challenges wherever the retro rules mention forfeits.
