A lively, physical game where players must avoid toppling a central object while dancing around it.

This is a refreshed adaptation from the All Eyes on Me retro party-game collection.

At a glance

Players: 4+ players.
You will need: A cushion or marked floor area and music.
Cost: Free instructions; use items you already have. Optional props or prizes may cost extra.

How to play

  1. Place a soft cushion in the centre of a clear space, or mark a small no-step area on the floor.
  2. Players dance or walk around it while music plays, keeping space between one another.
  3. The host changes the direction or calls a simple movement such as ‘tiptoe’.
  4. Anyone who touches the cushion pauses for one round, then rejoins.
  5. Play several short rounds or see who stays clear the longest.

Host’s tip

A hassock is a small padded footstool. Use a cushion for this adaptation, with no pushing or pulling.

Agree on the rules before you start. Guests can join, adapt a movement or pass; use points or optional playful challenges wherever the retro rules mention forfeits.
