Two performers create a miniature stage character in this old-fashioned party illusion. The refreshed title describes the effect rather than using a person’s stature as a joke.

This is a refreshed adaptation from the All Eyes on Me retro party-game collection.

At a glance

Players: Two performers and an audience.
You will need: A stable table and a cloth.
Cost: Free instructions; use items you already have. Optional props or prizes may cost extra.

How to play

  1. Drape a stable table with a cloth so the audience cannot see behind it.
  2. One seated performer places their head above the back edge of the table and puts clean socks or tiny shoes on their hands.
  3. A second performer crouches comfortably behind them and extends their own arms as the character’s arms.
  4. Together, perform a short routine: wave, ‘walk’ the sock feet across the tabletop, and pretend to cast a silly spell.
  5. Reveal the teamwork and let other willing pairs try.

Host’s tip

Keep performers on the floor, leave breathing space and use a short routine so the position stays comfortable.

Agree on the rules before you start. Guests can join, adapt a movement or pass; use points or optional playful challenges wherever the retro rules mention forfeits.

Originally listed as “The Dwarf Witch”; renamed for this refreshed collection.
