At a glance

Players: 6+ players in two teams.
You will need: Two bowls and large lightweight objects.
Cost: Free instructions; use items you already have. Optional props or prizes may cost extra.

How to play

1. Divide players into two equal teams, seated in two parallel rows about two metres apart.
2. Alternate roles along each row as “Pick” and “Cup.” For example: Player 1 is a Pick, Player 2 is a Cup, and so on.
3. Place identical sets of small items (e.g., apples, large tokens, soft tokens) at one end of each row.
4. At “Go,” the first Pick grabs an item and places it in the hands of the first Cup.
5. Pass the item down the line, alternating between Picks and Cups. The last player puts it in the empty container at the far end.
6. The first team to transfer all items to the container wins.

Host’s tip

Use a variety of objects to increase the difficulty and fun.

Agree on the rules before you start. Guests can join, adapt a movement or pass; use points or optional playful challenges wherever the retro rules mention forfeits.
