A fast-paced game where players must keep a feather in the air using only their breath.

From the All Eyes on Me retro party-game collection, this old-fashioned favourite brings simple fun to a modern gathering.

At a glance

Players: 3+ players.
You will need: A lightweight tissue-paper square.
Cost: Free instructions; use items you already have. Optional props or prizes may cost extra.

How to play

  1. Make a small lightweight square from tissue paper and sit or stand in a wide circle.
  2. One player gently tosses it into the air.
  3. Players use open palms or paper fans to waft it upwards, without grabbing it.
  4. Count how many wafts the group achieves before it lands.
  5. Restart and try to beat the group’s best score.

Host’s tip

This refreshed version uses paper and hand-fanning instead of a shared feather and repeated blowing.

Agree on the rules before you start. Guests can join, adapt a movement or pass; use points or optional playful challenges wherever the retro rules mention forfeits.
